Supporting your bush after fire Notes
5.2

A one-page property recovery plan

One page, filled in once and revisited each year. It turns the rest of the guide into a decision you have actually made.

Your recovery plan
1 — My place
Bioregion (1.1) · EVC and pre-1750 EVC (1.2) · vegetation division and its tolerable fire intervals (1.4) · fire years on record (1.3) · gap since the previous fire · growth stage (2.1)
2 — What I have set up
Photo points (how many, where) · monitoring plots · listening station · trail cameras · date started
3 — What I found
Species list started (date) · layers present and missing (3.3) · hollow-bearing trees per hectare in each plot (4.6) · birds recorded · nocturnal animals recorded, native and pest · weed patches mapped and which species
4 — What this tells me
Is a layer missing? · Are hollows short? · Which weeds are the priority (4.3)? · Which pest animals are present (4.4)?
5 — Three things I will do this year
Written as actions with a month against each. Three, not ten.
6 — What I will check next year
The date, and what I will compare it against.

Keep it with your photo point records. The value is in filling it in again in twelve months beside the first version — that comparison is the whole point of Part 3.
